Un-like many fashion bloggers out there...I rarely ever go "thrifting"...the reason is that everytime I went I would never find a thing due to little selection. Also vintage isn't really my style....and the 80's are definatly not (what my local thrift store is full of)...I think my biggest issues with "thrifting" is the fabrics...polyester double knit?? not my thing...
This time I hit up the accessories...I got to the store thinking I was sooo out of luck..most of the stuff on the walls were horrible...and then I was checking out with my 2 items I noticed that the glass case under the cash register was full of fun jewlery. I left the store spending a total of $14.50...and I'm sure at any "real" store one necklace would cost at least that.
This first item is a snake-like belt...I love it sooo much...I just wish it was a bit more snake-like
How fun is this necklace?? Big, bold, and a bright green stone...perfect!
These old earrings I plan on making into some shoe clips..I will likely spice them up a bit too.
The top pair already are shoe clips!! How perfect is that...I think I might just leave them how they are...I already tested them on some shoes...they're perfect!
This necklace is worn like a "rope tie" (western style)..I'm thinking it would be considered a Lariat Style?
And then of course there is the scarf...which cost me a whole $0.50!!
So maybe clothes thrifting isn't for me...but accessories watch out!!
