Me & Bri with a Splash of Vy

Olive Sweater Dress- H&M
Knit Vest- Kohls
Necklace- DIY Project
Belt- Target
Tights- Ardene
Shoes- Winners

This past weekend Vyla and I went to Calgary to see Brianna.  It was a bit of a last minute trip, but I'm very glad we went.  Our weekend involved shopping shopping and more shopping...alot of giggles and a couple nights of frusteration (Vyla did not want to sleep...the first night she was squealing and giggling away at 1:30 AM and everytime I tried to put her to bed she SCREAMED....the 2nd night she woke up in the middle of the night I gave her milk..she drank it up and wanted more...screamed for more...too bad I didn't have more...dumb mom..haha).
It was quite chilly in Calgary, so I got to put on some layers...but silly me completely forgot my OTK flat black boots which I would have prefered to wear with this outfit...the horrible thing is I completely forgot that I owned flat black boots (this is where Brody would say "You know you have TOO MANY shoes when.....").  So I had to settle for these shoes, and freeze my poor little feet off.  But they didn't freeze long, because as soon as my feet set "foot" in the mall they were too busy transporting me from store to store, almost resulting in over-heating due to extreme friction...(can you tell I don't get to the "City" much??)

Vyla couldn't decide if she wanted in the picture with us or out...

What cute girls you are! Love both these looks! Sounds like fun! How does Vyla take to shopping? Soren isn't especially into it...but still we go!

Oh, and yes, I forget I own certain clothes too! It's horrid!

I love catching up with your blog, it's always so inspirational and creative.

Firstly, this is a great outfit - I adore the layering with the knit vest (and OTK boots would have been perfect!).

The keyhole DIY shirt just became even more impressive - I can't believe you dyed the silk yourself! It's gorgeous.

Definitely my favorite recent post is the mustard jacket skirt you designed. I love love the style - it's so sophisticated but still flirty. Adding the zipper was also brilliant. I'm able to sew from a pattern but I could never alter the pattern the way you did. Amazing!
