Canadian Cutie: Kristy

Have I mentioned how much I love getting to "know" the people behind the blog? (The correct answer would be yes...I will be marking this test later...haha...)  First I brought you "Fashionable Mama's" and now I've added in "Canadian Cuties" to both be weekly features.
Kristys blog was actually one of the first Canadian Fashion blogs that I found...and I could hardly contain my excitement when I did...(I had been searching for Canadian Fashion blogs for quite some time with no luck).
Hope you enjoy her answers (I giggled to a few answers...it's totally a "Canadian thing")

Name:

Kristy

Location:

 Toronto

Blog name:

A brief description of your blog:

A personal style blog that showcases my view in fashion through my everyday outfits, with some food and shoe porn every now and then ;)

How long have you been blogging, and what made you start?:

About 2 years. I started off with Chictopia because I found it refreshing and inspiring to see what others' personal styles are.

How would you describe your personal style?:

Modern, affordable, comfortable. I'm an urban girl with a tight budget! :)

Do you feel that you can relate better to fashion bloggers living in Canada?

Definitely, especially during the colder seasons. We need to bundle up and look chic at the same time :D Without the UGGS boots of course.

What are some of your favourite Canadian (only found in Canada) stores?:

Joe Fresh Style, Jacob, Winners.

What store do you wish would open up in Canada?:

I have a few stores in mind: Primark, River Island, Monki, Bershka, and other European brands/stores!

Do you have any favourite Canadian designers/fashion brands?:

Based on the most recent Toronto Fashion Week collections: Joe Fresh, House of Groves, Amanda Lew Kee

Who would you consider a true Canadian Fashion Icon?:

Definitely NOT Jeanne Beker. She annoys me to the core.

Finish these sentences:

A person with true style is someone who...: doesn't need to expose too much skin (i.e. skank up her outfit) to stand out from the crowd.

My greatest fashion inspirations come from... Olivia Palermo (and fellow bloggers like you!)

The most cliché Canadian thing I enjoy/have ever done is... to be the one who says "Sorry" when someone bumps into me (Haha! This is a Canadian thing, right?)

Aside from fashion blogging what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?:

brainstorming my daily outfits, taking outfit photos, and editing them! I seriously have no life besides working and blogging :p Wait.. I also love watching The Biggest Losers ;)

Do you have any other random thoughts or interesting things you would like to share about yourself?

Check out my video for the ALDO DANCE contest: :) :) :)

Thank you Kristy for strengthening my "Canadian Fashion Blogger Pride" haha!

If you're a Canadian Fashion Blogger make sure you answer the questions here!
