Canadian Cutie: Ana

Today I would like you to meet Canadian Cutie Ana!  I think she could give us all a lesson or two on how to wear bright tights and bold colours in our outfits!

Name:

Ana
Location:

Vancouver, BC
Blog name:

A brief description of your blog:

A personal style blog with the occasional restaurant/movie/book review.
How long have you been blogging, and what made you start?:

I wrote my first post on Aug. 23rd, 2010 but had been meaning to start a blog for at least 2 years. The swift kick in the butt that I needed came in the form of family illness so the blog was a creative (and sometimes frivolous) distraction.

How would you describe your personal style?:

On a good day, it’s Andy Bernard meets Audrey Hepburn. ANDREY!

Do you feel that you can relate better to fashion bloggers living in Canada? Or is there no difference?:

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter to me. I’ve cybermet bloggers from all over the world and it seems that even though we don’t shop at the same stores, we still see eye-to-eye on style.

What are some of your favourite Canadian (only found in Canada) stores?:

Joe Fresh! It’s classic and inexpensive. Also, the newly-redesigned Hudson’s Bay is quite alluring.
What store do you wish would open up in Canada?:

J.Crew – now in a long-distance relationship, we’ve been going steady since January of 2003 when I visited an outlet in Vermont. If a store opened in Vancouver, I might just have to go over there and propose to it in front of all the cashmere twinsets.
Do you have any favourite Canadian designers/fashion brands?:

I’ve never been able to afford any of their apparel, but Pink Tartan is exquisite.
Who would you consider a true Canadian Fashion Icon?:

Coco Rocha.

Finish these sentences:

A person with true style is someone who...:

Knows what works for her body and doesn’t dwell on her perceived flaws.
My greatest fashion inspirations come from...

Classic movies, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Mad Men, and an unhealthy combination of memories and dreams.
The most cliché Canadian thing I enjoy/have ever done is....

I always order a Caesar in bars – does that count?

Aside from fashion blogging what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?:

I love trying new restaurants and drinking my weight in wine. Just kidding! It’s more fun to return to the same restaurants.
Do you have any other random thoughts or interesting things you would like to share about yourself?

I can fold my foot into a fist. Footfist!

Thank you Ana for all your answers!

Would you like to be my next Canadian Cutie?? If you do go here !
