A Glance Back

I don't like to be a a total behind kisser, but Kendi Everydays 30 for 30 challenge was seriously the most brilliant idea ever...
I will admit that when I had completed this challenge I couldn't get the rest of my clothes unpacked fast enough (it's still in boxes from the move..).  I only managed to unpack a few boxes, and even then I started to get overwhelmed by the amount of clothes I have.  Now when I look at my closet I have no idea what to wear...infact I don't even feel like getting dressed....it's like all my items just blur together....there are too many options, and that's a problem because there's no specific item or outfit I really want to wear.  I think it's time for a major closet overhaul!

We just went shopping in the City, my 30 days were over...I was so excited to shop at my favourite store (Winners)...but I only left with Christmas presents for others...and you know what?! It felt good!  Before when I would go to the City I would be so dissapointed if I came home empty handed...or even if I had bought some clothes, but it was often not enough.  Silly I know!

Of course this doesn't mean I'm not going to want to buy any more clothes....of course I will (shoes espeically..I'm addicted!)...in fact while looking at everyone elses fabulous outfits during this challenge I did find a few pieces I would like to add to my wardrobe...but I will be just fine without them!  (For now...haha)

Ahhh...sorry I'm writing so much...I still have soooo much more to say!!!

Time to break down the 30 outfits!

-I layered dresses a few times (6, 19, 24)
-I wore dresses as tops a few times (11, 21, 29)
-Mixing prints adds interest to an outfit (6, 9, 24, 27, 29)
-I love faux fur (5, 9, 15, 19, 20, 28)
- Out of 30 outfits only 5 weren't belted (1, 3, 4, 15, 17)
- I only wore jeans 5 days (4, 11, 16, 17, 28)
- Belts, Tights, Scarves and Leather Gloves are my favourite accessories

My Favourites

It is so hard for me to pick favourites...I just loved soooo many of these outfits.
I was going to say which ones were my favourite, and why...but there's too many...so I will list them...but only say why for a few.

6, 9, 12, 14, 17, 27, 28

Day 9, because I loved the mixture of elements (fur, sequins, houndstooth, brocade), but I felt the outfit didn't look over the top at all.

Day 28, because it's simple without being all that simple....(make sence?)

Over all Day 27 (shown above) was my most favourite outfit because I love every item in the outfit, I love how the colours and prints look together, and I think the silhouette is a good one for me.

There were a lot of things I learned from this challenge...and way too many to list them all...I "met" a bunch of fabulous bloggers (that post will have to wait for another day)...and I saved myself a buck or two...and probably a whole lot in the future.

When I was first getting ready to start this challenge I made sure to choose items that I not only loved, but that would allow me to to style up a variety of different looks, and looking back at all my outfits I am actually quite thrilled with the out-come and how different most of my outfits looked, and yet they are all totally me!!

Sorry this post was so long...apparently I had a lot to say!

Which outfit is your favourite?

Aww, reading this post makes me want to do my own 30 for 30 challenge! I don't think I will yet, though. I really need to get some new clothes. I only have a few I like. (You know, now that I think of it, I'm probably doing it with out meaning to, anyway...) But thanks for the inspiration!

I love number eight! So pretty! I love short, full skirts. <3

Once again, great job!

My favorite is Day 11! I don't know what it is, but your scarf just makes it look so polished and put together, especially for just wearing jeans! I think you did a great job on this challenge! I'm super super proud of you! I'm also excited to see the rest of your clothes again! I have a few favorites I've missed!

Gosh I have LOADS of favourites, here goes: 5,11,14,15,16,17,19,27 & 28.

I love seeing the recaps and I especially love the ones like yours with such gorgeous pictures. I took all mine inside using a self-timer so they pale in comparison with your recap!

Congratulations on completing the challenge with such panache, I've been following your posts via Twitter and really enjoyed seeing each one :)

All your outfits were gorgeous, but my fave was #19. The dress layering and the faux fur collar worked so beautifully together.

Tomorrow I'll be posting my 30 for 30 recap, too!

Like you I was TOTALLY overwhelemed to get dressed this morning. I mean I was dying for more choices for 30 days but now I have sooo many I can't pick. WTF?!?!

Anyhow, my favorite outfits of yours were #s 3, 12, and 27.

Of course deep down inside I'm pretty sure you could make a gunnysack look good ...

It's amazing how many completely different outfits you came up with! i feel the same way about shopping - now that I know I can go without, I don't feel the urge to go out and buy something new!

Now...will you be wearing that fabulous animal print jacket you made?!?

I think you did an AMAZING job with this challange. I mean looking at them all together you can't even tell you used the same 30 pieces. They all look great. I also love 27 the best. But 28 is very cute as well.
