Today on my "Fashion Blog" I don't feel like talking about fashion...instead I'm going to tell you about how good it felt to get out of the house last night!
I moved to this small community just under two months ago...we were lucky to have a bit of family here on my hubbys side...so that kept me sane, but I was really craving more human interaction with people other than family (no offence family...I LOVE you guys!!!)....most people would say "go out and meet people"...."there's lots of parent and tots programs, try them out"...but the thing is I'm shy...very shy...so something that simple to most people seemed impossible to me.  Finally one day I had enough...I had one of those days where I pretty much sat around and cried...thank goodness my sis-in-law called so I could vent (I love you Corrine!).  I ended up signing up for some Yoga classes that were being held twice a week, the first class I signed up for got cancelled, thank goodness there was a different class being held as well!  I attended my first yoga class (ever!!) last night, and it was great!!  I was so nervous before going (I get that way going into new situations when I don't know anyone)...but I'm so glad I went, there were only a few other ladies there, but it was so nice to finally meet some people, and the yoga itself was nice and relaxing!

How cute is this face???

1- I am loving this outfit
2- Vyla is adorable!
3- Yay for yoga! I am glad that you are trying it, and even more glad that it gave you a chance to get out and meet people! I definitely get the shyness, I am the same way.

YAY! I was going to call you this morning to find out how yoga went, but then I remembered you don't particularly like mornings, so I figured I'd wait till this afternoon! And I'm glad you love me! I love you too!

You look so cute. And I can't believe those wingtips are from Sears!

It's hard when you're at home all day to get any human interaction. All of my friends work all day, so I don't really get to see many people unless I make an effort.

Elizabeth was me - my google account is being screwy.

I know exactly how you feel. I live in downtown Vancouver, but with my family all the way in Ontario and Quebec, I do a lot of moping around the house instead of going out and meeting people. It might as well be a small town. On a happier note, your little girl is adorable.

SOOO cute!!
I'm so glad you were able to get out and meet some people! Isn't yoga fantastic? I used to practice 3 times a week pre-Peanut - I miss it!

Love all the textures in this outfit. :)

I can't imagine how hard it must be. I would go insane without my big friend support group. My heart goes out to you. So glad you went out. She is super duper cute.
Your outfit is very elegant.

Great outfit. Daphne is right - very elegant.
I'm glad you went out and met some new people and did something new. Moving to a new place can be so hard.

I can totally relate. I'm a shy one as well, and it's easier to hang out on your own than it is with others. Good for you for going out there, I'm rooting for you!

Of course, you look great in the meanwhile and your daughter is adorable!

i've only just stumbled on your blog and have been reading/looking through. it's a beautiful place and happy to find you...also i LOVE finding fellow BC girls!!! we are a rare breed in blog-land.

then i read this post and am totally touched, i relate to your experience so much. i too moved away from home for a fella and making friends was hard (shy - check!); navigating through a different city gave me serious heart palps daily. it takes time but then you just kinda bloom where your planted. i think the yoga choice is perfect becos it will not only get you out there but also it helps to ground you. good for you lades!!!! i'll be following so as to not miss out on any more Canadian scenery, lovely you & fams. ♥
