Slipping my way Through the Day

Jacket- Gift
Cardi- Joe Fresh
Tank- TJ Maxx
Belt- H&M
Jeans- Hollister
Booties- Winners
Ring- F21

As we already know I'm not always the brightest person around (see yesterdays post) the other day when I wore this outfit I couldn't find the shoes I was planning on wearing (still haven't found them...ugh), so instead I wore these.  The problem with these booties is that the heel is super high and super skinny, and there is NO platform under my toes.  I did a little test run to make sure that I could walk in them (30 seconds before running out the door)...the problem was that I did the test in my house on my carpet...not the snow!

Vyla and I were headed to the rec center for swimming, when we got there I didn't want to let Vyla down to walk because there was so much snow on the ground.  I attempted to carry her to the door...wobble...wobble...slip...wobble....I was walking like a drunk sailor.  I forgot to mention that the sole of these booties are completely flat.  It was sooo embarrassing...there were a few moms walking behind me in sensible footwear (like winter boots...a smart choice), they had no problem carrying their kids through the parking lot.  In the end I had to put her down in the snow just so I could make it to the door.

These booties are being retired until all the snow has melted.  To make matters worse these pants have way too much spandex in them, and they kept falling down (not all the way thank goodness).  They're my only pair of boot cuts, and I love how they look on, but I can't stand pulling them up every few minutes, and belts don't work.  They have made their way to my "donate" bin.

PS.  Please ignore my snooty looks in all these pictures...I swear I know how to smile!!

You look great Natasha! I love your jacket in the first pic and your ring is gorgeous. I've been walking like a drunken sailor in the snow, too ; )

I love how you took all these different items: jeans, sequins, white&black booties, cardigan and coat...waved your magic wand and made it into one stunning look! Gorgeous.

Beautiful! I love the nails! I did this the other day, but I'm letting my gel nails grow out and it looks terrible! I will be posting pictures once they look normal!

Outfit is adorable, and I'm so in lust with those shoes! I think you should wear them every other day this summer!

I can barely manage heels in California sunshine - you're a trooper to try them in the snow!

I have worn outfits that didn't translate well into real life. Those pieces went into the donation bag as well (smile) I do love your outfit, especially the sequin tank. Hopefully, you kept the tank.

those boots are gorg, but I can totally see how they'd be an issue. I give you mad props for the attempt though! you look smoking hot!

Love this. My thoughts were: "Ooh great coat, ooh sequins, ooh amazing shoes." Glad you remained upright despite the weather conditions.

Have you tried taking the jeans in slightly so they can't slip as much? Sewing jeans can be a real bitch but they do look good on you, it would be a shame for you to get rid of them.

Hello Natasha! Thanks for the visit and lovely comment. I adore your story + outfit. I too have been known to risk my life, to wear stiletto's. ;-) I am glad to know that I am not the only one who is such a fashion die hard, the shoes and tank are fabulous. Really enjoying your blog. xx veronika
