The Weather Rut

What:
Leather Jacket- Zellers
Shirt- Winners
Sweater- Winners
Belt- Target
Black Jeans- Winners
Boots- Spring

It's hard to believe that these pictures were taken the day after my last outfit post....the weather can change so much over night!

In this cold weather I sometimes find it very hard to be motivated to dress stylish, or even get dressed at all...I'd much rather stay lounging in my yoga pants and hoodie all day.  One of the many benefits of fashion blogging is being held accountable to NOT get stuck in a rut....trust me many days it would be sooooo easy to just not care, but in all honesty I'm glad I keep those days to a minimum because I always feel better on the days that I put some effort into my outfit....and I know for myself that when I feel better it positively effects so many other things (and people).

What about you?  Does crappy weather make you feel/dress blah?  What do you do to make the "feeling" pass?

Hole cow is it really snowing!! You still managed to look super cute despite the unruly weather:)

Oh yes, there's no benefit outfit that super super super comfy (read: would not be caught dead outside the house in it) when the weather's bad. In my case, it's usually rain vs. snow though.

You look gorgeous as usual and your hair is particularly beautiful today. So...get out of the snow!!!

LOVE this outfit. You look GORGEOUS!

That's a lot of snow! I need boots like that for this Washington weather, which coupled with working from home make it very, very hard to motivate myself to dress cutely. I treat myself to fancier coffee in the cafe below my apartment if I make the effort <3

The thing I like about dressing in cold weather though, is that you can layer... and I find it so much easier to express my style that way! It's hot weather that really challenges me.

You look great! Love the belt/boots so much.

Your weather looks beautiful. We have all sub-zs and no snow. Boo!

I love wearing jeans/leggings/sweaters/boots so that's perfect for cold weather. Plus, I have reverse SAD so the snow and cold energize me. We'll talk about fashion ruts when all I can wear are shorts and sandals ...

You look really cute.

Cold weather makes me want to dress casual all the time. I never feel like getting all dolled up. Something about the cold just kinda makes me boring. Lol!!

Photos came out so cool. I can't imagine it being fun posing without a coat in a slushy snow storm but you look georgous. I do admire your will to dress. That kind of weather would totally demotivate me as well.

You look so so so chic and cute. Perfect blend of edgy pieces and comfortable ones! Aren't those boots amazing? I have a pair like and just can't take them off :)

When I wake up and everything is covered in the white stuff I tend to grab a heavy pair of tights, a skirt, and multiple top layers and a scarf...
I love what you did today...

Ooops, so much for trading weather! I totally get the not wanting to get dressed up when its cold. Partially I have to anyway, because I still have to go to work... but then at the same time I always find myself reaching for the same sweaters and pants over and over. I need to figure out how to mix up my warm clothes so they aren't always the same!
