Winterized

What:
Sweater- Joe Fresh
Dress- Winners
Tights- Joe Fresh
Boots- Winners

I've been wanting to winterize this dress for awhile, but everything I could think of was too dressy (I guess that's what happens when your dress is floral and ruffly)...finally I tried this chunky knit sweater...it was the perfect balance.  The tie around the sweater is attached to the dress...originally I was going to tie it around my waist on the dress, and then use a belt around the sweater...and somehow I ended up trying it out this way instead.  I think it ended up looking kinda neat.

PS.  I'm sorry these pictures are turning out so blurry and horrible...I vote that Brody buys me a Nikon D3100 for my Birthday next month....I could use your vote too..haha

Bahah I love how you are the easiest person to buy for! Nothing like putting it out there! I vote he buys you one too. And seeing as how I'm single and he's such a fabulous brother, I think he should buy me one for Valentines day too! lol. You look adorable! I love your "cowgirl" boots! I still chuckle everytime I see you wear them!

that dress is so pretty! adds the perfect pick-me-up to the winter blahs.
and yes, you deserve a brand spanking new camera! but be forewarned, those things on a tripod like to make any old theing the "focus" of the picture when you use the timer just like a point and shoot... i still get the odd blurry photo!

This turned out great. Love tying the dresses tie around the sweater. The floral pattern is like a breath of spring in the midst of snow.
Oh, just complain everyday about your current camera and he will give in. That is what I did the months leading to Christmas and he got tired and got me a SLR. :)

I love wearing floaty summer dresses with cardigans and boots and tights. I just love being able to spread my wardrobe further, it makes me feel like I have a huge amount of clothes for all seasons...instead of loads of clothes separated by seasons.

This looks so pretty! I love the way you tied the belt outside the sweater -- it ties everything together (literally). I'm just doing my weekly catch-up on all the blog posts I missed during my hectic work week, so this is your warning that I'm probably about to leave you a stalker-ish amount of comments at one time... =)

Really like the contrast between the sweater and dress, and of course, LOVE winners and joe fresh.
I have a D3000 which I think is the next model down, and it is my sun and stars, so I also vote that the hubby buys you a d3100 cuz you will not regret that purchase.
