Working up the Courage

What:
Sweater Dress- H&M
Belt- Winners
Faux Leather Pants- Self Made
Boots- Spring

I made myself these faux leather pants in December after making Brianna a pair for Christmas.  I have loved the look of leather leggings for quite some time now, and had been wanting them forever, but wasn't having any luck finding any in my neck of the woods.  I ended up finding the perfect fabric and drafted a pattern to make my own.  I love them...but I hardly have the guts to wear them.
I wore this outfit a few days ago when I went shopping with a friend in "the City".  I am not yet brave enough to wear them out where I live, so they are restricted for when I head out of town.  Silly I know...but if you knew where I lived you would get it!

The day I wore these I ended up spending a great amount of time chasing Vyla around a store...I wouldn't recommend chasing a toddler while wearing pleather pants! haha

You can definitely rock those pleather pants...so impressed you made them...even more impressed you managed to run around after vyla in them! Love that belt!

Love them! You should wear them locally. I bet it'd be empowering! I used to feel that way in my old small town but I just got over what people thought. I'm sure you can too :)

Man, you're one sewing machine (no pun intended!) :) I mean, you keep making all these great pieces and model them to a T! I also love your shades, especially the ombre lens :D

Those pants are so fierce! You should wear them around your tiny town! Though I have yet to get the courage to wear my leather skirt around town here.

Oh, I've just realised they didn't make the 30 for 30 mix. Never mind, they look fantastic here. And I love your belt.

Where I used to live (right after I moved from the Midwest to the East Coast), people would always stare at me when I wore things that were mildly trendy, so I too saved them for times I went into NYC, but now, I don't care if I get stares for my outfits. Plus, I'm not sure I could even create a distinction between city-appropriate clothes and everyday clothes. It's all blurred together (that's what I get for living so close to NYC).

I don't know where you live, but I do know what you mean! Location, location, location.
You are a brave mama, chasing a toddler in pleather pants. Sounds exhausting.
