Once again I am thrilled with this months pick (coloured pants) for Everbody Everywear!
I have been in love with this trend long before it was a trend (which would explain the lime green pants I had my mom make me in high school...).
Thank goodness I've matured a bit in my sense of style, and prefer the more "sophisticated" styles/colours for pants. Don't get me wrong...I still would love a pair of bright green pants...but probably not lime.
I have been working on perfecting my pant pattern for awhile now...every time I make a pair of pants I end up tweeking the pattern just slightly...I've finally got the perfect fit. So far I have the perfect pattern for a boot cut trouser, slightly flared slouchy(ish) trouser (these pants) and now I'm working on the perfect skinny trouser. I made these pants using a soft brushed polyester...I wanted something that felt silky, but didn't have the shine, so it was the perfect fabric.
Usually when I wear slightly slouchy bottoms I like to pair them with more tailored/fitted tops (or vice-versa)...but for this outfit I wanted to play up the slouchyness so I paired my trousers with this over sized blouse. To keep myself from looking like a bag lady I made sure to add a belt and some pumps.
