DIY Liquid Leaf Toe Caps

I know I'm not the first blogger to DIY metallic toe caps on a shoe, but I thought I should still post my instructions because of the fantastic product I used.  I had mentioned in my previous shoe DIY that Plaid had sent me some products to test out, and one of those was the Liquid Leaf Paint.  I couldn't wait to add some metallic toe caps to a pair of shoes!  Then I took it a step further and also painted the back strap :)
 Materials and Supplies
-Pair of plain pumps or slingbacks
-Paintbrush
-Painters or masking tape

 Instructions:
1. Tape off the areas on your shoe that you will be painting up to.  Make sure that you keep everything symmetrical on both shoes.  Press down the tape so that no paint will seep under it.
 2.  Shake the liquid leaf well and then paint your toe cap and strap.  Allow the paint to dry a few minutes before applying a second coat.
3.  When the paint is completely dry peel off the tape.  If there are any smudges you can carefully use an exacto knife to scrape off the paint.
Wait a few hours before wearing your shoes out on the town :)

I am a huge fan of Plaid's liquid leaf.  It is such a smooth product to paint with, you don't even have to worry about brush strokes showing, that's how smooth it is!
